For food, drink and pharmaceutical production and related equipment, Sealtech International offers rubber moulded components in approved materials which are not degraded by CIP (clean in place) or SOP (sterilize in place) processes. Medical approved rubber grades are used to produce seals able to withstand a wide range of process media, potent active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and aggressive cleaning regimes.

The grades of elastomer materials used by Sealtech International to manufacture parts for food, drink and pharmaceutical equipment comply with required industry standards such as: Food and Drug Administration (FDA), IDF (International Dairy Federation), UK Water Regulations Advisory Scheme (WRAS), United States Pharmacopeia (USP) Class VI, 3A 18-03 Sanitary compounds standards, as well as EC Regulations – 1935/2004 and 2023/2006: Food Contact Materials – Health of consumer.

FDA approved elastomeric grades used by Sealtech International for making high performance seals for medical equipment include Perlast® PFE (perfluoroelastomer) which provides outstanding thermal and chemical resistance.  By using Perlast® seals, many manufacturers of process equipment have been able to extend the operating capability of their original equipment without expensive valve and pump redesigns.
